Supply Chain Management Assistant III – Procurement Role

About the role

The Elgeyo Marakwet County Public Service Board is seeking a Supply Chain Management Assistant III to support its procurement activities in Iten. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, from tender opening to goods receipt and stock control, ensuring compliance with Kenyan procurement law.

Key responsibilities

• Procure goods, works and services in strict adherence to legal provisions.
• Open and evaluate tenders, ensuring transparency and fairness.
• Conduct market surveys for commonly used items to inform purchasing decisions.
• Process Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and draft contract documents.
• Receive, inspect and verify delivered goods against specifications.
• Manage warehousing, distribution and stock control activities.
• Assist in preparing the annual procurement plan and supply‑chain management reports.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Required profile

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C‑ with at least C‑ in Mathematics and English or Kiswahili.
• Diploma in CIPS Supplies Management or an equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in computer application packages (e.g., MS Office) from a recognized institution.
