System Administrator – Infrastructure

About the role

The System Administrator – Infrastructure will be responsible for administering, securing and optimizing Unga Holding’s IT infrastructure. This on‑site role ensures high availability, reliability and performance of servers, storage, virtualization and disaster‑recovery services that support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain reliable operation of servers, storage, operating systems and core infrastructure, including configuration, patching, upgrades and capacity management.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability, and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Implement and test backup, disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity procedures, ensuring RPO/RTO targets are met.
• Apply server security controls, hardening standards and timely security patches; manage privileged and system accounts.
• Administer user accounts, roles and access rights, supporting periodic access reviews.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate change and configuration management, ensuring proper assessment, testing and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ICT policies, licensing agreements and audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors and follow up on training and performance‑management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• 2‑3 years of experience in systems/infrastructure administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux/UNIX server installation, configuration, patching and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls and basic network troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization, server storage, backup solutions and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Understanding of system hardening, access controls, patch management and security best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM principles for incident, problem and change management.
• SAP administration or database administration experience is an added advantage.
