Tech Lead/Sr Backend (Go) Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Tech Lead/Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Go to own the design, development, and operation of high‑performance server‑side systems. The role combines hands‑on coding with responsibility for modern cloud infrastructure, especially Kubernetes‑based environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of scalable, resilient backend applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain production‑ready Kubernetes Operators using Go and the Operator SDK.
• Own the full lifecycle of backend services—from technical design through deployment, scaling, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices that support complex workloads while ensuring clean, maintainable code.
• Implement high‑availability and disaster‑recovery strategies to minimise operational risk.
• Manage containerised environments (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Provide technical leadership, set engineering standards, and mentor other developers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience, with at least 5 years using Go.
• Proven experience in a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or comparable technical leadership role.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
