Technical Advisor – Sudan Response (Nairobi Based)

About the role

The Technical Advisor will support CORE’s expanding humanitarian response in Sudan from a Nairobi base. Acting as the regional representative, the consultant will provide senior‑level strategic advice, strengthen institutional relationships, and help position CORE within donor and coordination frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate engagement with humanitarian stakeholders, including UN agencies, NGOs, and government bodies.
• Identify and pursue funding and partnership opportunities to sustain and grow the Sudan response.
• Provide technical guidance to improve CORE’s positioning in coordination mechanisms and donor platforms.
• Support the development of high‑quality program documents, proposals, and strategic plans.
• Represent CORE in regional meetings, workshops, and advocacy events.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian program management or advisory roles.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of donor requirements and humanitarian coordination structures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
