Technical Lead

About the role

The Technical Lead will drive performance management, process optimisation and cross‑functional coordination for the Software Engineering, Quality Assurance and DevOps teams. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role translates strategic direction into executable plans and oversees day‑to‑day operations to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational execution of technical design and development to ensure scalable, secure, high‑performing software systems.
• Coordinate cloud‑native deployment practices across teams using AWS and other cloud environments.
• Ensure operational readiness and integration of APIs, meeting business and technical requirements.
• Manage delivery of high‑performance database systems (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, EF/Core).
• Drive adoption of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor adherence to security standards such as OAuth and JWT, and enforce code reviews, automated testing and secure coding.
• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate and operationalise emerging technologies.
• Identify and implement improvements to performance, scalability and stability of technical systems.
• Lead coordination and resolution of critical bugs and production issues in line with SLAs.
• Support product evolution by coordinating enhancements based on customer and stakeholder feedback.
• Oversee release management across environments to ensure successful deployments with minimal downtime.
• Maintain technical documentation to support knowledge transfer and onboarding.
• Provide operational coaching and support to engineers, fostering continuous improvement.

• Reports directly to the Managing Director.
• Direct reports include Software Engineering, Quality Assurance and DevOps teams.
• Responsible for leading day‑to‑day technical operations and delivery.
