Technical Operator

About the role

The Technical Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery used in spice processing. You will ensure production runs smoothly while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control spice processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Set up, adjust, and calibrate machines according to product specifications.
• Monitor production parameters and make real‑time adjustments as needed.
• Conduct regular quality checks on spices and address any deviations.
• Train new and existing operators to minimise downtime and waste.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment reliable.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, output, and quality checks, and report to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams for seamless production.
• Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in mechanical, production/process or manufacturing engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience as a Technical Operator, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong understanding of machine components and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
