Technical Sales Representative – DOC Sales (Coast)

About the role

The Technical Sales Representative will drive the acquisition of new business by selling day‑old chicks and agro‑veterinary products across the coastal region. You will provide technical support to customers, manage associated credit, and help farmers improve their poultry operations.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for chicks and complementary products.
• Organise promotional activities, farm visits, seminars and livestock shows to boost sales volumes.
• Provide basic technical advice on poultry management, vaccination protocols and equipment to new and existing farmers.
• Generate market intelligence reports and monitor competitor activities.
• Maintain accurate customer records, collect feedback and address complaints promptly.
• Support regional distribution plans and collaborate with appointed distributors/agents.
• Safeguard and manage assigned funds, materials and equipment in line with company policies.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Animal Science, Animal Production or Animal Health.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer technical support role within the poultry industry.
• Valid practicing licence issued by the Kenya Veterinary Board.
• Professional certification in Marketing is an advantage.
