Technical Sales Representative – Solar & Power Solutions

About the role

Power & Solar Systems Ltd is seeking a results‑driven Technical Sales Representative to expand its solar and power‑backup portfolio across Kenya. The role combines technical knowledge of renewable‑energy products with strong commercial and relationship‑building abilities to generate new business and support existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly and annual targets.
• Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities across B2B, corporate, institutional and retail markets.
• Build and nurture networks of distributors, wholesalers, resellers, installers and contractors.
• Promote and sell solar water heaters, photovoltaic panels, hybrid inverters, battery storage, UPS systems and voltage regulators.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospects in sectors such as corporates, SMEs, schools, churches, banks and supermarkets.

Required profile

• Results‑oriented with strong commercial and relationship‑building abilities.
• Technical understanding of solar energy, power backup and voltage protection solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a field‑sales environment across Kenya.

Required skills

• Knowledge of solar water heating systems (e.g., Eraslan vacuum‑tube and flat‑plate heaters).
• Familiarity with photovoltaic panels (JA Solar, Jinko Solar).
• Understanding of hybrid inverters, lithium battery storage and industrial UPS solutions (KSTAR).
• Experience with deep‑cycle gel and sealed lead‑acid UPS batteries (Sacred Sun).
• Knowledge of automatic voltage regulator systems (ROM Energy).
