Technical Support Operator – Vehicle Inspection & GPS Installation

About the role

The Technical Support Operator will provide on‑site technical assistance for loan customers, handling vehicle inspections, valuations, GPS tracker and SIM card installations, minor repairs, and client guidance throughout the financing process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of repossessed motorcycles and cars, documenting condition, damages and any discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Evaluate vehicle values using industry‑standard valuation techniques, considering make, model, year, mileage, condition and market trends.
• Install GPS trackers on vehicles and ensure proper functionality, including SIM card installation.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on motorcycles to restore operational status.
• Provide technical guidance to clients during the loan application process, answering technical queries.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, valuations, installations and repairs, generating compliance reports.
• Uphold quality, safety and regulatory standards in all technical activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in vehicle inspection, valuation or technical support.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Good knowledge of the Kenyan car market, including model features and technical specifications.
