Technical Training Officer - Automotive Education

About the role

The Technical Training Officer is responsible for designing and delivering high-impact technical training in the automotive field. The role leads curriculum innovation and lesson planning so that every session, whether theoretical or hands-on, meets TVET compliance and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and update technical course outlines and training content in line with current automotive industry standards.
• Lead the delivery of theoretical and practical training sessions.
• Oversee lesson planning and instructional scheduling to optimise training throughput and student engagement.
• Implement assessment frameworks to track learner progress and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Maintain adherence to TVET regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
• Research emerging automotive technologies and modern teaching methods to improve the training portfolio.

Required profile

• Degree in Automotive Engineering or a specialised degree in Technical Education.
• Certification in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
• At least 3 years of experience in technical instruction or automotive engineering.
• Valid driving licence with defensive driving training.

Required skills

• Expert use of PowerPoint and other digital tools for training delivery.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and educational software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, strong research skills and clear presentation skills.
