Technology Manager – IT Operations & Strategy

About the role

The Technology Manager will support the Senior Manager in ensuring smooth operation, support, and continuous improvement of the BInsight system and other organizational applications. This full‑time, onsite position in Kakamega focuses on coordinating day‑to‑day support, stakeholder communication, and vendor management to maintain stable technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage in process improvement and automation initiatives for existing and upcoming systems.
• Provide prompt support to country IT teams, guiding issue resolution based on priority.
• Maintain internal IT service management at head‑office and country levels, adhering to industry standards.
• Assist in UAT, new module rollout, data migration, and post‑implementation support.
• Configure applications, manage access roles, and ensure IT compliance, audit, issue tracking, and change management.
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, third‑party vendors, and consultants.
• Conduct training sessions, prepare materials, and review training content.
• Support data pipeline, data warehouse, and data visualization platforms, and assist with data analysis.
• Explore emerging technologies such as AI tools and machine‑learning models to build a future‑ready analytics platform.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in technology operations or application support.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management, cloud infrastructure, and VM management.
• Experience with database management, SQL, and network design.
• Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.
• Experience in end‑user training and stakeholder management.
