Temporary 1:1 Teacher – Primary School

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled 1:1 teacher to join Coorara Primary School on a temporary basis. This specialised role offers the rewarding opportunity to work closely with an individual student, delivering personalised learning and wellbeing support to maximise growth and success.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and respond to the individual learning needs of the assigned student, creating tailored instructional strategies and personalised learning plans.
• Set specific, measurable goals in partnership with families, specialists, and school leadership.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with the student, carers, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and support staff to ensure consistent academic and social development.
• Differentiate curriculum using evidence‑based practices to address learning barriers and diverse learning styles.
• Monitor progress through formative and summative assessments, adjusting approaches as needed.
• Provide regular feedback to the student and communicate progress to families and the support team.
• Promote wellbeing, resilience, and self‑regulation through positive behaviour support strategies.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia and a recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience creating inclusive, engaging learning environments.
• Strong communication, organisational, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with educators, leaders, and support staff.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, differentiated teaching and student wellbeing.
