Temporary Junior Primary Team Teacher (0.6 FTE)

About the role

Felixstow Primary School is seeking a passionate teacher to join its R‑2 cohort in a team‑teaching environment. This part‑time (0.6 FTE) fixed‑term role runs from July to December 2026 and focuses on wellbeing, engagement and connection through a values‑driven learning program.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver collaborative lessons for Year R‑2 students, integrating literacy, numeracy and creative arts.
• Implement the Berry Street Education Model and trauma‑informed practices to boost student engagement.
• Facilitate purposeful play‑based and inquiry‑based learning experiences.
• Build strong relationships with students, families and the wider school community.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives that promote respect, responsibility and compassion.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
• Demonstrated success in team‑teaching and fostering inclusive classroom environments.
• Experience using play‑based pedagogies and inquiry‑driven learning.
• Ability to improve student engagement through trauma‑informed approaches.
• Willingness to teach creative arts across R‑6 at least twice per week.
