Territory Sales Manager – Automotive

About the role

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Territory Sales Manager with a strong automotive background. You will be the face of the company, building relationships with dealerships and wholesale partners while driving growth across your assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand new business in the territory.
• Service existing accounts in person and via phone, identifying incremental growth opportunities.
• Utilize Salesforce daily for reporting, pipeline management, and tracking.
• Achieve or exceed established sales targets.
• Build and leverage relationships with dealers and dealer groups to maximize revenue.
• Monitor competition and position ACV Auctions effectively.
• Assess customers’ wholesale inventory needs and propose solutions.
• Educate customers on the full range of ACV products and services.
• Forecast and report monthly and annual business activity.
• Provide consultative selling to ensure deep product understanding.
• Respond quickly to customer issues to maintain satisfaction.
• Manage Vehicle Condition Inspectors and monitor KPIs.
• Adapt to changes in the book of business and internal structures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of dealership experience (new or used car side).
• Proven ability to travel daily to existing and prospect dealerships.
• Strong understanding of the retail/wholesale automotive marketplace.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills both in‑person and over the phone.
• Positive, upbeat demeanor with self‑motivation and independence.
• Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
