Test Engineer (14‑month Maternity Cover)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Test Engineer to provide 14‑month maternity cover. The role will ensure the quality of core business applications through comprehensive testing, supporting the organisation’s global digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and maintain testing strategies, plans, scenarios, test cases and scripts.
• Execute functional, integration, regression and end‑to‑end tests using both manual and automated approaches.
• Perform performance testing and contribute to test framework improvements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers and Solution Architects to meet quality standards and timelines.
• Report test progress, raise issues and suggest process enhancements.
• Mentor local and global peers, promoting a testing culture and best practices.

Required profile

• Right to work in Kenya for the contract duration.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a hybrid/remote setting.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 5% of the time.
