Toolkit Development Consultant for Disease Outbreak Preparedness

About the role

This consultancy is to develop a practical toolkit to support country teams responsible for leading or promoting vaccine acceptance and uptake during public health emergencies. The toolkit will provide practical guidance and tools for integrating vaccine demand and acceptance throughout the emergency vaccination cycle, from preparedness and activation through vaccine deployment, monitoring, and adaptation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a practical toolkit to support country teams in promoting vaccine acceptance and uptake during public health emergencies.
• Provide technical support to promote vaccine uptake and demand for vaccine trials and vaccine roll‑out in response to Ebola disease outbreaks.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social science or a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in social and behavior change, risk communication and community engagement.
• Experience in emergency response and designing demand‑promotion strategies for disease‑outbreak vaccine roll‑out.
• Proven capacity‑building experience on vaccine demand and knowledge of global/regional coordination mechanisms.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
