Toolkit Development Consultant for Disease Outbreak Preparedness

About the role

This consultancy will design a practical toolkit to help country teams promote vaccine acceptance and uptake during public health emergencies. The toolkit will guide integration of demand‑generation activities throughout the emergency vaccination cycle, from preparedness to monitoring and adaptation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a user‑friendly toolkit that provides guidance, tools and templates for vaccine demand and acceptance.
• Provide technical support to country teams for vaccine uptake, including during Ebola outbreak responses.
• Integrate vaccine demand strategies into all phases of emergency vaccination, from activation to deployment and post‑vaccination monitoring.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in social and behavior change, risk communication and community engagement.
• Proven experience in emergency response and designing demand‑promotion strategies for disease‑outbreak vaccination.
• Experience in capacity‑building on vaccine demand and social‑behavior change communication.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
