Track & Trace Officers (M/F)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring Track & Trace Officers in Mombasa, Kenya. This is a full-time, fixed-term position focused on giving real-time visibility of transport operations through vehicle monitoring, IVMS/GPS tracking and client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor assigned vehicles via the IVMS/GPS platform and track their movements from origin to destination, including loading, transit, border crossings, delivery and return.
• Monitor convoy movement against approved procedures and flag delays, route deviations, unauthorized stops and other exceptions.
• Monitor driver behaviour (speeding, harsh driving, night driving, convoy gaps), generate daily violation reports and maintain violation records.
• Keep customers informed of truck locations, ETAs, convoy progress and exceptions, and notify them of convoy departures and arrivals.
• Coordinate daily with transporters, convoy leaders, border teams and site teams, and escalate incidents and risks to the Control Tower Manager.
• Prepare daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly tracking reports, consolidate performance data and KPIs, and maintain accurate tracking records.
• Analyse performance trends, recommend improvements, support continuous improvement of tracking systems and take part in operational review meetings.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Information Systems or a related field.
• A certificate in Logistics or Transport Management is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transport operations, fleet management, logistics coordination or a Control Tower environment.

Required skills

• Experience using IVMS/GPS tracking systems.
