About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Trainer to deliver hospitality and institutional management courses at Shamberere Technical Training Institute. The role involves preparing and delivering curriculum‑aligned lessons to trainees and supporting their practical projects.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver training sessions in hospitality and institutional management according to the approved curriculum.
- Prepare teaching materials, lesson plans and learning resources.
- Design, administer and mark assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Conduct supervised research activities under a senior trainer’s guidance.
- Oversee trainees’ projects, practical work and on‑the‑job attachments.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the department.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Formal training in pedagogy and registration with TVETA.
- Minimum of one year of relevant teaching or training experience.
- Membership in a professional body where applicable.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
