Transport Coordinator (M/F)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Transport Coordinator in Mombasa on a fixed-term contract. The role coordinates daily transport operations so that cargo moves on time, transit regulations are respected and customers receive accurate updates.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily truck allocations and loading schedules, follow up on departures, transit progress and deliveries, and liaise with transporters on availability and loading times.
• Escalate delays, truck shortages and operational issues to the Transport Manager.
• Ensure T812, Exit and T1 documents are prepared accurately and on time, maintain compliance with customs regulations and work with clearance teams on documentation queries.
• Maintain transporter records, support onboarding of approved transporters, monitor their performance and follow up on incidents and corrective actions.
• Provide shipment and departure updates to internal teams and customers, and respond to transport-related queries.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly loading and transport reports, keep accurate records of allocations and departures, and support operational analysis.
• Identify improvements to allocation, documentation and reporting processes and help implement operational controls.

Required profile

• Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transport coordination, clearing and forwarding or logistics operations.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of KRA, KPA, URA transit procedures and ASYCUDA operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
