Transport Supervisor – Funeral Services

About the role

The Transport Supervisor will lead daily transport operations for a funeral services provider, ensuring that hearses, ambulances and support vehicles are dispatched promptly and handled with dignity. This full‑time position is based in Nairobi and requires close coordination with hospitals, mortuaries and internal staff.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily transport activities, guaranteeing timely movement of all vehicles and personnel.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, servicing schedules, routine inspections and compliance with licensing and insurance requirements.
• Prepare duty rosters, monitor driver attendance, discipline and performance, and provide coaching on safety and customer service.
• Liaise with hospitals, mortuaries and other stakeholders to arrange respectful collection and transfer of deceased persons.
• Ensure adherence to traffic laws, company policies and infection‑prevention protocols; investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate transport logs, fuel reports and vehicle documentation, and generate regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Transport Management, Logistics, Fleet Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience supervising transport or fleet operations.
• Prior experience in a hospital, ambulance service, mortuary or similar medical environment.
• Proven ability to manage drivers and coordinate complex vehicle schedules.
