Treasury Manager

About the role

Pesapal is seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to lead treasury operations across its multiple African markets. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for managing liquidity, safeguarding customer funds, and optimizing cash utilization in a high‑volume digital payments environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash positions across bank accounts, wallets, and settlement accounts.
• Develop accurate short‑ and medium‑term cash‑flow forecasts.
• Optimize idle cash balances while maintaining sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Ensure adequate funding for daily settlement obligations in all operating markets.
• Identify and recommend short‑term investment opportunities in line with treasury policy.
• Manage relationships with banks, payment networks, and other financial partners.
• Oversee bank account administration, mandates, and treasury documentation.
• Ensure compliance with approved banking mandates and treasury policies.
• Review and reconcile bank statements and settlement accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in treasury management within a fast‑paced payments or fintech environment.
• Commercially minded with a strong focus on liquidity and cash‑utilization optimization.
• Ability to work across multiple markets and coordinate with finance, settlement, engineering, and product teams.
• Strong understanding of banking relationships, settlement funding, and treasury controls.
