Tyre Management System (TMS) Intern – Mombasa

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Tyre Management System (TMS) Intern to support our tyre inspection, maintenance and fleet operations in Mombasa. This internship provides hands‑on experience with tyre management processes and the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation, operation and continuous improvement of the Tyre Management System.
• Capture and maintain accurate records of tyre usage, inventory, wear trends, repairs and maintenance activities.
• Conduct daily tyre inspections, checking pressure, tread depth, defects and related mechanical issues.
• Prepare worn‑out tyres for retreading, repairs or proper disposal.
• Fit new tyres, clean and refurbish rims, and monitor performance of new and retreaded tyres.
• Coordinate tyre removals, rotations, puncture repairs and replacements.
• Maintain records of tyres and batteries issued to customers.
• Prepare daily operational records and monthly technical reports on TMS activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in Automotive Engineering (mandatory).
• Up to 1 year of exposure to tyre inspection, maintenance or fleet management.
• Basic knowledge of Tyre Management Systems; familiarity with tyre management software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑focused attitude with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic field environment.
