US Tax Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Tax Preparation & Accounting Assistant to join our team on a part‑time basis. The role focuses on accurate tax document handling, client communication, and supporting day‑to‑day administrative tasks during busy tax seasons.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, organize, and review client tax documents for completeness and accuracy using Lacerte Tax and TaxDome.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to client and internal emails promptly and professionally.
• Track down missing documents and outstanding information without being prompted.
• Maintain accurate client records, manage inboxes, and support specialized accounting or tax projects while ensuring confidentiality.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience supporting tax preparation, accounting, or CPA/tax‑firm operations.
• Demonstrated US tax experience.
• Strong attention to detail and high‑quality data‑entry skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication, comfortable speaking with clients.
• Highly responsive, reliable, organized, and able to manage detail‑heavy work in a fast‑paced environment.
