Van Sales Manager – FMCG

About the role

The company is seeking a dynamic Van Sales Manager to lead its FMCG distribution efforts. You will be responsible for driving sales growth through effective route planning, customer relationship management, and on‑the‑ground execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement van sales strategies to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets.
• Plan and manage sales routes for optimal market coverage and efficiency.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
• Negotiate prices, promotions and product placements to boost sales volume.
• Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback to management.
• Oversee stock handling, including loading, off‑loading, reconciliation and loss minimisation.
• Maintain accurate sales records, route reports and customer data.
• Supervise van sales staff to ensure performance targets are achieved.
• Ensure the company vehicle is well‑maintained and complies with safety standards.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and ensure timely cash collection and banking.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing or a related business field.
• Proven experience in FMCG van sales.
• Strong sales, negotiation and basic leadership abilities.
• Experience managing sales routes and achieving targets.
• Valid driving licence (preferred).
