Videographer

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Videographer in Mlolongo within the manufacturing industry. The role covers planning, shooting and editing video content, from concept to final export.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-production: work with creative and marketing teams on video concepts, pitch ideas and storyboards, and plan shoots including location scouting, schedules, shot lists and equipment preparation.
• Production: set up and operate cameras, lighting, microphones and other AV equipment, keep visual consistency with the brand, and capture b-roll, product shots, event highlights, testimonials and behind-the-scenes footage.
• Editing and post-production: edit footage with professional software, add graphics, text overlays, transitions, music and effects, sync video with audio, colour correct and export files optimised for web, social media and ads.
• Technical management: maintain and troubleshoot equipment and organise and archive projects and footage in a digital asset management system.
• Quality control: review content against creative briefs and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
• Trend monitoring: stay up to date on editing techniques and experiment with formats such as reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communications or a related field.
• Proven knowledge of video production techniques, lighting, composition and audio recording.
• Strong understanding of brand storytelling and audience engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Camera operation, lighting setup and audio recording equipment.
• Visual storytelling, videography and editing.
