Volunteer Recruitment, Mobilization & Training Lead

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic volunteer leader to build and sustain Arise Africa Movement’s volunteer engine across Kenya. The role will design and manage the recruitment, onboarding, training and deployment of volunteers, turning first‑time participants into future community leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a nationwide volunteer recruitment pipeline.
• Design and coordinate onboarding sessions and orientation programmes.
• Build and support mobilization teams for community events and member engagement.
• Create and deliver training modules for mobilizers and team leaders.
• Implement the leadership multiplication model and track volunteer retention.
• Identify and mentor potential volunteer team leaders and trainers.
• Collaborate with Regional Representatives to address volunteer shortages and skill gaps.
• Organise refresher trainings and maintain participation records.

Required profile

• Strong facilitation and training abilities.
• Proven capacity to motivate people without coercion.
• Excellent people‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex information for training purposes.
• Experience in teaching, training, HR, volunteering, community mobilisation or youth organisations is advantageous.
• Integrity, reliability and commitment to accountable public leadership.

Required skills

• Basic digital and collaborative‑tool competence.
