Warehouse Assistant (Entry Level)

About the role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, you will support the receipt, delivery, and inventory control of project items in the warehouse for malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS service delivery in Siaya and Busia Counties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily warehouse operations and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of all items.
• Inspect and verify received commodities for quality and quantity.
• Track receipts, issues, and withdrawals of IRS‑related commodities.
• Update stock cards and ledger books promptly after dispatch.
• Process delivery and receipt documentation such as delivery notes and GRNs.
• Support material storage, issue, and stock rotation using FIFO.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Required profile

• Diploma in purchasing, supplies management or a related field.
• At least six months experience as a storekeeper or store assistant.
• Certificate of good conduct may be required.
• Physically fit, able to stand long hours and lift items.
• Willingness to work six days a week (Monday‑Saturday).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with procurement software.
