Warehouse Associate

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, is a manpower management firm operating across East Africa. On behalf of its client, it is recruiting a competent, skilled and experienced Warehouse Associate to work in Nyeri, Kenya. The role covers receiving, storing, picking and dispatching materials and finished products while keeping inventory accurate and compliant with company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive raw materials, packaging, finished goods and returns against purchase orders, transfer documents or delivery notes, check identity, quantity, batch, dates and packaging condition, and record shortages, damages and non-conformities
• Store stock with approved stacking practices, apply FIFO or FEFO, segregate released, quarantined, rejected and expired items, and keep aisles and exits clear
• Pick and issue goods for customer orders, verify items before loading, wrap and label products, and load and offload vehicles safely
• Record all movements in the ERP or warehouse system, run cycle counts and stock takes, and monitor slow-moving and near-expiry items
• Follow safety, food safety, quality and hygiene rules, use PPE, and carry out pre-use equipment checks
• Work with Production, Quality, Procurement, Transport and Sales teams and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Performance expectations

• Inventory accuracy: variances investigated and reconciled promptly
• Correct receiving and dispatch accuracy, and on-time postings
• FIFO/FEFO compliance and full batch traceability
• Prompt reporting of hazards and incidents, and tidy, labelled work areas
