Warehouse & Inventory Manager

About the role

Highlands Drinks is hiring a full-time Warehouse & Inventory Manager in Nyeri, Kenya, to lead warehouse operations across its designated sites. The role covers receipt, storage, replenishment, picking, dispatch and returns of materials and finished goods, with accurate inventory records, reliable material-handling assets and uninterrupted support to Manufacturing and Distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Own the accuracy, security and integrity of raw materials, packaging, finished goods, returns, pallets and other inventory, and lead cycle counts, stocktakes and month-end reconciliations with Finance
• Manage all warehouse operations: receiving, put-away, storage, replenishment, picking, staging, loading, dispatch, returns and shift handovers, with accurate and timely orders
• Control warehouse layout, capacity, bin discipline, space utilisation, stock rotation (FEFO/FIFO) and peak-volume planning
• Ensure inbound, internal and outbound movements are recorded in ERP/WMS and reconciled at shift or day end
• Oversee electric reach trucks, LPG forklifts and other handling assets, including maintenance, repairs and capital decisions
• Analyse inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, throughput, labour productivity and equipment uptime, and provide monthly dashboards and Excel-based analysis
• Standardise processes, run root-cause analysis and audits, and drive continuous improvement
• Manage warehouse staffing, shift rosters, attendance and overtime within budget, and coach and assess staff
• Control warehouse budgets, support inventory valuation and audits, and manage risks, safety, food safety, traceability and business continuity
