Web Developer Intern – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

Pixel Systems is looking for a Web Developer Intern to join our fully remote team. You will help build and maintain internal tools for an East African fintech partner, turning business requirements into functional code that handles real‑world financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance React dashboard components for internal monitoring systems.
• Write and maintain Node.js server‑side logic and scripts.
• Clean up legacy code and ensure data flows correctly between systems.
• Integrate external APIs and manage relational data in PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with a mentor, write tests, and produce clear documentation.

Required profile

• Organized and able to follow technical instructions.
• Strong interest in logic and system building over visual design.
• Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Clear communicator in English, comfortable working independently.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn production‑grade software practices.

Required skills

• Basic experience with React or a similar modern frontend framework.
• Familiarity with Node.js for server‑side development.
• Understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
