Web Developer – Need‑Based Consultant

About the role

Digimatt Solutions is looking for an experienced web developer to work on a need‑based consultancy basis. The consultant will collaborate with the Creative & Web team in Nairobi to design and deliver a modern, responsive website that supports the company’s communication and engagement goals.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with Digimatt to capture requirements, target audience and desired functionalities.
• Develop a detailed project plan with timelines and deliverables.
• Design and build a responsive, visually appealing website with menus, sub‑menus and social media links.
• Integrate user registration, community forums and interactive tools.
• Embed multimedia elements such as photo galleries, videos and infographics.
• Ensure cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility.
• Implement robust security measures to protect user data.
• Set up a content management system for easy updates.
• Conduct comprehensive testing to identify and fix bugs before launch.
• Prepare a user manual and train administrators on content upload and site maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of hands‑on web development experience.
• Senior‑level expertise with a strong portfolio of responsive websites.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with the Creative Coordinator and Web Director.
