Weekend Residence Counselor

About the role

The Weekend Residence Counselor provides support to individuals receiving services in educational and residential settings during weekend hours. The role promotes independence, ensures safety, and complies with Springbrook policies and state regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Model positive behavior and assist individuals in behavioral, medical, educational, and social situations.
• Implement service plans, collect required data, and support individuals with challenging behavior, including physical interventions as trained.
• Provide medical advocacy, administer medications, attend appointments, and maintain necessary certifications.
• Facilitate person‑centered planning, develop learning materials, and assist with daily living activities.
• Utilize community resources, participate in recreational and spiritual activities, and maintain safe, clean environments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work full weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) as specified.
• Ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Springbrook vehicles.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software.
