Wireline Field Engineer

About the role

Baker Hughes is hiring a Wireline Field Engineer in Nairobi (Westlands). The engineer provides technical guidance and insight to support the delivery of multiple customer projects and helps identify improvements to products, processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and analyze solutions to moderately complex problems encountered at the wellsite.
• Supervise the training of less experienced engineers and personnel.
• Perform additional duties within the district.
• Work with the drill crew on location to coordinate operations with the rig or production facility.
• Provide the Customer Representative at the wellsite with a record of all assemblies run.
• Advise the Customer Representative on logging and completion operations, interpret logging data, troubleshoot and perform wellsite analysis.
• Supervise equipment at the wellsite and at the shop to deliver specific logging and completion services.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or Applied Science.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Thorough understanding and competency in oilfield wireline operations and services (TCP).
• Able to identify the right product and service for simple to complex applications.
• Able to work and communicate well with internal and external customers.
