Workshop Supervisor – Production & Quality Lead

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor will lead daily operations in a busy funeral services workshop, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This full‑time, onsite role reports to senior management and coordinates a team of skilled craftsmen.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate tasks to workshop staff, monitoring performance and productivity.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved and downtime is minimized.
• Conduct quality inspections, identify defects and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee proper use and preventive maintenance of machinery, tools and equipment.
• Manage raw material usage, coordinate requisitions and support inventory control.
• Enforce health and safety procedures, conduct briefings and investigate incidents.
• Train, mentor and evaluate workshop personnel, handling attendance and discipline.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a carpentry, woodworking, metal‑fabrication or plastic‑manufacturing workshop.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
