2D Panoptic Segmentation Annotator (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented 2D Panoptic Segmentation Annotator to work remotely on high‑quality image labeling projects for computer‑vision AI training datasets. You will create precise segmentation masks, assign class labels and instance IDs, and ensure consistency across large image collections.

Key responsibilities

• Label objects and regions in 2D images using segmentation masks, class labels and instance IDs.
• Review and validate annotations for accuracy and adherence to project guidelines.
• Flag ambiguous cases and communicate uncertainties to team leads.
• Collaborate with quality‑assurance specialists to meet productivity and accuracy targets.
• Provide feedback on labeling guidelines and workflow improvements.

Required profile

• Strong visual attention to detail and ability to discern fine object boundaries.
• Ability to follow structured guidelines, taxonomies and quality standards consistently.
• Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a suitable remote work environment.
• Effective written communication for reporting issues and documenting edge cases.
• Good time‑management skills to meet daily targets and project deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with image annotation tools (e.g., CVAT, Labelbox, similar platforms).
• Experience using spreadsheet software such as Excel.
• Comfort with web‑based annotation platforms and task‑tracking tools.
