Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Nairobi. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger, subsidiary accounts, and produce monthly financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
• Perform daily reconciliations of bank, customer, supplier and inventory accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable, payroll, statutory payments and ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, NSSF and SHIF.
• Prepare statutory returns, assist with tax matters and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Oversee inventory accounting, fixed asset register and support cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in FMCG, beverage distribution, retail or trading environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, inventory control, taxation and payroll.
• High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
