Accountant

About the role

Savannah Informatics Limited is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Accountant to support the day‑to‑day finance function of its e‑Health software business in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post daily financial transactions, maintain up‑to‑date accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Perform routine reconciliations (bank, inter‑company, accounts payable/receivable, sales and tax records) and follow up on discrepancies.
• Manage accounts payable, process payments, assist with cash‑flow planning and support budget tracking.
• Support statutory compliance by preparing, filing and reconciling monthly obligations such as PAYE, NSSF, VAT and other deductions.
• Collaborate with the Commercial team on customer invoicing, balance tracking and collection efforts.
• Assist with internal and external audits, grant‑related financial reporting and asset register maintenance.

Required profile

• CPA finalist (mandatory) or ACCA qualification; Bachelors in Commerce (Finance) or related field.
• Minimum of 1 month experience in audit.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High integrity and discretion when handling financial information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
