Accounts Assistant

About the role

The Accounts Assistant reports to the Unit Accountant and plays a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of the luxury lodge. Responsibilities include accurate credit‑card transaction processing, supporting cost‑control initiatives and ensuring financial records comply with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile daily credit‑card transactions from the Property Management System with payment gateway and bank statements, and monitor outstanding receivables.
• Assist in monitoring departmental expenses, conduct periodic stock counts for food, beverage, housekeeping supplies and other operational inventories.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and maintain accurate accounting records with proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (CPA Part II/III, ACCA or equivalent is a plus).
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or hotel environments.
• Familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems, accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of hotel cost‑control procedures and financial reporting.
