Accounts Payable Specialist – Hybrid Role

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Accounts Payable Specialist to support a complex, multi‑entity client environment that includes healthcare operations, real‑estate ownership, and extensive intercompany activity. The role is hybrid, with two days remote and three days in the Nairobi office, working on EST hours.

Key responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices, credit memos and expense reimbursements, ensuring proper approvals and documentation.
• Prepare and release payment batches, manage vendor records, and reconcile vendor statements.
• Monitor AP aging, resolve discrepancies, and complete AP close tasks by client deadlines.
• Assist with 1099 preparation, maintain organized documentation for audits, and communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, prioritize deadlines, and protect confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and sound judgment.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, or similar AP platforms.
