About the role
Amentum is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role provides essential clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth department operations in a remote overseas environment.
Key responsibilities
- Screen and direct telephone calls, visitors, and incoming correspondence professionally.
- Process invoices, employee timesheets, expense reports, and verify charge codes.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements for staff.
- Maintain organized electronic and hard‑copy filing systems and manage office supplies.
- Handle new‑hire paperwork, prepare employment packets, and generate onboarding documents.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of clerical or administrative assistant experience.
- Valid passport with at least one year remaining and ability to obtain required visas.
- Ability to pass contract medical and security requirements.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with PeopleSoft or similar HR/finance systems.
