Admissions Officer

About the role

The Admissions Officer will manage the admissions pipeline, support enrolment targets and ensure accurate student records for Aga Khan Academy Mombasa.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the admissions pipeline, follow up on applications and support agreed enrolment targets.
• Provide regular admissions and enrolment reports to the Head Teacher.
• Communicate professionally with prospective and current families, conduct school tours and answer queries about fees and curriculum.
• Coordinate with the Learning Support team for prospective learners requiring assessment.
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality and secure handling of student records in the School Information System (SIS).
• Facilitate admission exams, prepare admission letters, transcripts and manage the archive of student files.

Required profile

• Diploma in Admissions, Education Administration, Business Administration, Customer Service or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in admissions, school administration or customer service.
• Previous experience in a school environment is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with a School Information System or student information database.
