Adult Day Center Manager – Respite & Enrichment

About the role

JABA is looking for an experienced leader to manage its Adult Day Center, providing respite and enrichment services for older adults with cognitive and physical challenges. The role blends clinical oversight, team leadership, operational management, and community outreach to ensure high‑quality, person‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership and oversight of the Adult Day Center, ensuring exceptional participant care and program quality.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop staff and volunteers.
• Maintain compliance with state regulations, licensing standards, and organizational policies.
• Foster a culture of safety, dignity, respect, and person‑centered care.
• Assist with admissions, assessments, care planning, and family communication.
• Promote the program through community outreach, referral development, and relationship building with healthcare providers and community organizations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience working with older adults or persons with disabilities, OR a current licensure as a nursing home or assisted‑living administrator, OR a Virginia RN license.
• Alternatively, continuous employment in a licensed adult day center before July 1 2000, with at least 48 semester hours (or 72 quarter hours) of post‑secondary education and two years of relevant experience.
