Advocacy, Reporting and Data Internship

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking a motivated intern to support its Global Knowledge and Advocacy Division (GKAD). The role focuses on data management, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy activities linked to the World Urban Forum (WUF) series.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analysing data for advocacy reports and stakeholder databases.
• Support the mobilisation of partners and stakeholders for WUF13 in Baku and upcoming WUF14 preparations.
• Maintain and update campaign management tools and digital platforms.
• Contribute to the preparation of briefing notes, policy briefs, and communication materials.
• Provide logistical and coordination support to the Head of Advocacy and Stakeholders Unit.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate in urban studies, international development, data science, or a related field.
• Strong interest in sustainable cities, housing, and UN initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
