Agribusiness & Agricultural Economics Consultant Trainer

About the role

Indepth Research Services (IRES) is recruiting an Agribusiness and Agricultural Economics Consultant Trainer based in Nairobi. The consultant delivers training, develops curricula and provides technical advisory services. Successful candidates are engaged as external consultants on a need-to-be basis, with assignments such as training delivery, workshops, curriculum development and technical advisory work; scope, duration and fees are discussed during engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in your area of specialisation.
• Demonstrated technical expertise and practical experience in the relevant agricultural field.
• Experience delivering professional training, consultancy or technical advisory services.
• Experience working with farmers, agribusinesses, government institutions, NGOs or development partners is an added advantage.
• Training of Trainers (ToT) certification is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Report-writing skills.
