Agronomist Sales Manager

About the role

EcoFix Kenya Ltd is seeking an Agronomist Sales Manager to join its team in Naromoru. The role combines agronomic advisory work with sales leadership to promote organic inputs, poultry feeds, and sustainable agroforestry solutions to smallholder farmers and agribusiness clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide agronomic advisory services and technical support to farmers and agribusinesses.
• Promote and sell EFK’s organic inputs, poultry feeds, and related products.
• Plan and execute sales strategies, including route planning and negotiation.
• Conduct field visits, demonstrations, and farmer training events.
• Maintain strong relationships with distributors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, gather customer feedback, and prepare regular sales and field performance reports.
• Collaborate with production and marketing teams to align product offerings with farmer needs.
• Support impact monitoring and ensure activities align with EFK’s social and environmental objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics or a related field (highly beneficial).
• Strong agronomy and crop‑management knowledge, including sustainable farming, agroforestry, and soil fertility management.
• Experience in field extension and farmer training, with the ability to deliver clear technical guidance.
• Proven sales and business‑development skills, including account management and meeting sales targets.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities with diverse farmer groups and agribusiness partners.
• Competence in data collection, basic analytics, record‑keeping, and reporting.
• Experience with biochar‑based organic inputs, poultry feeds, or farmer‑focused agribusinesses in Kenya or the region is a plus.
