AI & Business Intelligence Analyst

About the role

Finlays is expanding its business intelligence and digital automation capabilities at its Mombasa site. The AI & Business Intelligence Analyst will bridge enterprise data with advanced artificial intelligence, delivering actionable financial and operational insights from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, fine‑tune, and deploy autonomous AI agents, prompt frameworks, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) applications to automate routine workflows.
• Extract, clean, and analyse complex datasets from Dynamics 365 Business Central to generate commercial insights for finance, supply chain, and operations.
• Create executive‑grade Power BI dashboards and financial reports tracking KPIs, margins, cash‑flow trends, and inventory performance.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operational teams to translate business problems into data‑driven, automated solutions.
• Implement strict data‑governance policies ensuring AI tools operate securely without exposing proprietary ERP or customer data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, IT, or a quantitative discipline.
• Specialised certification in Azure AI or AWS Machine Learning.
• Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate and Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant.
• 3–5 years of experience in data analytics or AI development, with at least 1–2 years directly within an enterprise ERP environment.
• Strong academic background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Commerce is highly preferred.
