AI Engineering Lead – Fixed-term

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a hands‑on AI and automation engineer to design, build, and scale intelligent solutions that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and farmer impact across its Tupande program.

Key responsibilities

• Drive AI and automation strategy, translating organizational priorities into a pipeline of high‑impact initiatives.
• Lead the full lifecycle (design, development, deployment, scaling) of AI‑enabled solutions and intelligent workflows.
• Architect and integrate AI capabilities across enterprise applications, data platforms, and operational systems.
• Mentor engineers, establish governance standards, and champion adoption of AI and automation across the organization.
• Monitor performance, adoption, and business value of AI solutions, mitigating technical and ethical risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of AI, automation, machine learning, analytics, business process improvement and digital transformation principles.
