Area Sales Manager

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will translate the Route‑To‑Market strategy into field execution, driving volume and market share while developing the sales team within the assigned district.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure streamlined trade execution according to RTM principles across territories to boost sales volume and market share.
• Achieve revenue growth by meeting volume targets, net sales growth, and increasing penetration of key packs.
• Develop a high‑performing frontline sales team through coaching, training and performance management.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
• Manage distributor relationships, monitor volume versus targets, and coordinate promotional and marketing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of frontline FMCG sales experience.
• At least 1 year of team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG sales, RTM principles and market execution.
• Proven coaching, negotiation, dispute‑resolution and communication skills.
• Resilience, determination and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Digital fluency – ability to use sales platforms and turn reports into action.
