Assistant Fleet Supervisor

About the role

The Assistant Fleet Supervisor supports daily fleet operations for a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) business. Working closely with the Fleet Supervisor, you will help ensure that vehicles and motorcycles are available, road‑worthy, and efficiently allocated to meet operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing vehicle and motorcycle deployment, scheduling trips and routes.
• Coordinate routine servicing, maintenance and repairs with approved garages; inspect vehicles for mechanical issues.
• Conduct regular safety and compliance inspections, verify insurance, inspection certificates and licensing.
• Monitor fuel consumption, identify wastage and support cost‑control measures.
• Supervise drivers and riders, track performance, report misconduct or accidents.
• Maintain accurate fleet records, logbooks, service histories and prepare operational reports.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics and operations teams; communicate with drivers, mechanics and service providers.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years (36 months) of experience in fleet or transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, road safety regulations and cost‑control practices.
